Job Details
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant, to join our growing team.
Accounts Receivable:
Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with customers to ensure timely payment.
Process customer payments, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic transfers.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and account balances in the accounting system.
Assist with credit checks and credit limit assessments for new and existing customers.
Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports for management review.
Purchasing:
Assist with the purchasing process by processing customer orders, and tracking deliveries.
Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Verify purchase orders and invoices for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
Maintain purchasing records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Support the sales team in sourcing new suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable, purchasing, or finance-related role, preferably in the software or technology industry.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
