Job Description
An employer is looking for an Systems Architect to join their team. This person will be joining a team of Site Reliability Engineers that are responsible for creating a "SRE Center of Excellence." They are looking to create best in class standards around the SRE practice enterprise wide, and standardizing CI/CD pipelines across the company. The goal is to reduce P1 incidents and NTTR, and apply quality checks as a part of the deployment methodology to reduce things failing in production. They are working on building out performance testing, chaos engineering, and code checks, all things before production.
The team of SREs are researching and drafting the policies, and the Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing fail over/resiliency plans, and should have strong HADR experience within AWS. This person will be designing the disaster recovery plan. The goal is to do push button failovers and be able to push back and forth between various environments, and have an auto fail over platform.

Required Skills & Experience Experience designing failover/disaster recovery/resiliency plans
Previous experience working on an Enterprise / Shared Service DevOps or SRE team
5+ years experience in Software Development and DevOps best practices
Proficiency in scripting languages, especially Bash and Python, for automation.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD, and strong pipeline management skills.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and collaboration platforms.
Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IAC) principles and tools, such as Ansible and Terraform.
Experience with Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure automation
Experience with Amazon (AWS) Cloud technologies
Experience with Git versioning and release strategies
Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to system health, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
A solid background in system administration, infrastructure management, or software engineering.
Experience in incident response, post-incident analysis, and implementing preventive measures.
Familiarity with observability tools, monitoring, and alerting systems.
A commitment to balancing reliability concerns with continuous innovation and development.
Experience working in ambiguous, fast paced environments
Ability to juggle multiple projects, and work with multiple teams
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science
