Job Description

The Public Outreach Specialist plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technical teams and homeowners. You'll complete administrative tasks, attends homeowner briefings, and assist homeowners with understanding of the program, filling out paperwork, and product selection. You'll guide them through all phases of the Program while ensuring outstanding customer service. You must possess an understanding of engineering principles and will be tasked with gathering feedback from the homeowners and ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Residential Sound Insulation Program. Having effective communication skills is a must, as is the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams and individuals.

We provide full-service planning, design and construction management services on everything from roadways and bridges to airports, stormwater infrastructure, and parks/recreation projects primarily for state and local agencies and municipalities.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have experience in public outreach , customer service, or a related field. Having an associate's degree or higher is preferred or at least 3 years of experience in an administrative role. You're also fluent in Polish.
  • You have strong communication skills and can provide exceptional customer service. You have strong writing, grammar, spelling and computer skills.
  • You're proficient with business applications . Having proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and database software is a must.
  • Having previous experience working with public entities (CDA, CDOT, CTA, etc.) is preferred but not required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • You'll answer calls from homeowners . You'll also forward participant questions and requests for information to project managers, and document inquiries and responses in the participant file or database.
  • You'll schedule home inventory appointments with the homeowners for the program staff.
  • You'll prepare participant master lists containing names, addresses, and home/work telephone numbers.
  • You'll schedule the construction work with homeowners , prepare individual construction schedules, and forward to the participants with information on what to expect during construction.
  • You'll attend homeowner briefings to assist signing in attendees, collecting applications, and distributing participant information folders.
