Medical Scribe job responsibilities include:
Welcomes and greets all individuals in a courteous and professional manner, thanking patients for choosing Integrity Urgent Care.
Maintains a high degree of professionalism while treating patients in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Gathers pertinent health information from patients and accurately inputs information into EMR.
Engages with fellow co-workers in an appropriate and helpful manner to facilitate a pleasant and expedient patient care experience for our patients.
Protects patient confidentiality by not leaving patient information in areas that are viewable to others, logging off computer systems when not in use, and not discussing patient information with others outside of the scope of healthcare.
Follow direction of medical provider during all stages of the medical record documentation process.
Ensure a high degree of accuracy and competency while inputting information into the medical record.
Maintains awareness and adherence to clinic policy/procedures as well as rules and regulations from other governing organizations.
Follows established safety guidelines. Regularly attends staff meetings. Assists with training as requested.
Professionally handle patient complaints and aid in reporting to upper management.
Ensure a high degree of accuracy and competency while inputting information into the medical record.
Maintains awareness and adherence to clinic policy/procedures as well as rules and regulations from other governing organizations.
Follow direction of medical provider during all stages of the medical record documentation process. Assists provider with discharge and transfer of patients.
Other Duties as assigned; this is a safety-sensitive position.
Requirements
Education:
High School degree or equivalent acceptable.
Experience:
Healthcare experience preferred.
Skills:
PC skills or applicable computer experience.
Ability to read and write medical terminology.
Ability to escort or transport patient by wheelchair or stretcher.
Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work all shifts.
